The Oppo F1s Android smartphone was manufactured by Oppo Electronics Corporation (Oppo) and released in August 2016 under Oppo’s F series. The F1s was released as the successor to the Oppo F1. The F1s is available in gold, rose gold, and grey bodies.
The Oppo F1s includes a scratch-resistant glass front and an aluminum back and frame. It has a 5.5-inch display with 720 by 1280 pixel resolution. The F1s is available with either 32 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM, or 64 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM. The F1s includes a non-removable 3075 mAh battery, whereas its predecessor, the F1, includes a much smaller 2500 mAh battery. The F1s also has a much-improved main camera over the F1, with a 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel main camera, respectively. The F1 and F1s have identical 13-megapixel selfie cameras, though the F1s was heavily marketed as a phone for selfie-lovers.
The F1s includes a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as an accelerometer, proximity, and compass sensor. A Digit review praised the Oppo F1s’s front-facing camera which, in 2016, was ideal for taking selfies. However, the Digit review found that the rear-facing camera is unexceptional and the pixel count is low for the size of the display.
