Ashis Das

Ashis Das (born 24 October 1978) is an Indian politician. He is a former Member of the Tripura Legislative Assembly from the Surma Assembly constituency from 2018 to 2022. He left his winning Party Bharatiya Janata Party and joined Trinamool Congress in January 2022,[1][2] In 2022 Assembly byelections Swapna Das of BJP won. He left TMC in May 2022.[3][4][5][6]

Early life and education

Ashis Das was born to Khagendra Chandra Das on 24 October 1978 in Surma, Dhalai district of Tripura.

He completed his Bachelor's of Arts from Tripura University.[7]
