Baisnabnagar Assembly constituency
Baisnabnagar Assembly constituency is an assembly constituency in Malda district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Kaliachak Assembly constituency ceases to exist from 2011. There are two new constituencies in the area – Mothabari Assembly constituency and Baisnabnagar Assembly constituency. BJP won the 2016 assembly elections in Baisnabnagar.[4] In 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election Chandana Sarkar of AITC won the seat by a margin of 2,799 votes over her nearest rival Swadhin Kumar Sarkar of BJP. She is the current MLA of Baisnabnagar constituency.
