Challenge Ramudu is a 1980 Telugu-language action film, produced by T. Prakash Rao under the Anil Productions banner[2] and directed by T. L. V. Prasad.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Jaya Prada[4] and music composed by Chakravarthy.[5]

Plot

The film begins with a ship captain Vijayaram from childhood he is avid of challenges and triumphs over them. On a journey from Singapore to India, he gets acquainted with a girl Aruna the daughter of Justice Rajashekaram. Vijay’s friend Raju challenges him to entice Aruna which he takes up and they crush. One day Vijay takes Aruna and her sibling Madhu / Bunty to the picnic where Bunty goes missing. The next day a person in a veil threatens Rajashekaram to acquit his sidekick who is presently under prosecution but Rajashekaram does not yield. Hereupon, Vijay gets a clue with a painting and finds Bunty’s whereabouts at Cochin and affirms to shield him. Parallelly, his foster Gopalam divulges his past that his entire family is slaughtered by hardcore criminal James at the Cochin itself. Now Vijay takes up this as a challenge and decides to achieve both goals. Vijay reaches therein and identifies James himself as the kidnapper who turned into Raghuram. At last, Vijay protects Bunty and takes his avenge. Finally, the movie ends with the marriage of Vijayram & Aruna.

The music for the film was composed by Chakravarthy. The song Pattuko Pattuko is a hit track which was remixed in Nandamuri Balakrishna's Okka Magadu (2008). Music released by SAREGAMA Audio Company.[6]
