Indiawin Sports Private Limited also colloquially known as MI Universe and #ONEFAMILY[1] is a 100% subsidiary of Reliance Industries founded on 28 November 2007. Based in Mumbai, India, Indiawin Sports own Cricket league franchises aka teams around the world such as Mumbai Indians in IPL , Mumbai Indians in WPL, MI Cape Town in SA20 and MI Emirates in ILT20 respectively.[2][3][4]

Among its multiple franchises, Mumbai Indians is the most famous franchise. It won IPL most number of times.[6]

History

Indiawin Sports was founded on 28 November 2007 in order to buy a team in Indian Premier League. In IPL 2008 team auction, it successfully bought team based on Mumbai city at a cost of 111.9 million USD. Later in 2022 it also bid on teams in SA20 (cricket) and International League T20 through its subsidiaries INDIA MUMBAI INDIANS (PTY) LTD[7] and INDIAWIN SPORTS MIDDLE EAST LIMITED and won teams in both leagues.[8][9][10] On 25 January, Indiawin Sports successfully win the bid for Mumbai based franchise in Women's Premier League.[11]

After acquiring franchises in SA20 (cricket) and International League T20 the head coach Mahela Jayawardene and bowling coach Zaheer Khan of Mumbai Indians have been promoted to global head of performance and global head of cricket development for all MI franchises around world.[12]
