Inspektur Rachman

Inspektur Rachman is a 1950 Indonesian drama film directed by Mohammad Said Hamid Junid, and starring Chatir Harro, Nana Mayo, Awaludin, A. Hamid Arief, and Djauhari Effendy. It tells the story about a police inspector named Rachman.[1] A direct sequel, Tugas Baru Inspektur Rachman, was released in 1960.[1] The film marks the screen debuts of Nana Mayo and Mimi Mariani.[1]

Due to murder and imprisonment, Mochtar leaves his wife and his young son. When he grows up, Rachman, the little boy, becomes a police officer and holds the rank of inspector. He often gets assignments to catch gangs of robbers, which are led, among others, by Mochtar and Agus. Mochtar actually knows that Inspector Rachman is his son. He intends to leave but is opposed by Agus. During a chase, Agus shoots Inspector Rachman, but the bullet hits Mochtar, who deliberately "mounts himself" to protect his son. On the other hand, Rachman's bullet managed to penetrate Agus's chest. It was then that Rachman knew that Mochtar was his father.[1]
