Iran Cinema Celebration

The Iran Cinema Celebration (Persian: جشن خانه سینما), or Jashne Khaneh Cinema known as the "Great Iranian Cinema Celebration" and "House of Cinema Celebration", is a competitive and significant event of Iranian cinema that is held every year by the "Iranian Alliance of Motion Picture Guilds" or House of Cinema (KHANEH CINEMA) in Tehran. In the Iran Cinema Celebration,[2] the "House of Cinema Trophy" is granted to the best of Iranian cinema in feature films, documentaries, animations, and short films.

The winners of each category are introduced in a separate closing ceremony and receive their awards from the jury or Academy members in these sections: Best Film, Best Director, Best Scriptwriter, Best Director of Photography, Best Leading Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Editor, Best Sound designer/recorder, Best Make Up, Best Special Effects, Best Visual Effects, and Best Short Film.[3] [4] [5]

In the last decade, the short film category has been held entirely independently and in the form of an academy under the title of the "Iranian Independent Short Film Ceremony" (ISFA Awards) by the "Iranian Short Film Association" (ISFA) and the supervision of House of Cinema. [6]

The five best film nominees are introduced to the "Iran Cinema Celebration" too, and its jury members announce their winner as the Best Short Film at their closing ceremony.
