Loklahar
Loklahar is the Hindi weekly newspaper of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). It is also the Hindi counterpart of People's Democracy. Sitaram Yechury, CPI(M) General Secretary is the editor of the newspaper.

History
Loklahar was first published in April 1978 from CPI(M) Headquarters, New Delhi. It was preceded by Swadhinta, which got closed down due to split in the Communist Party of India.

Current status
Loklahar has a circulation of over 30,000 copies. It is also the only existing Hindi newspaper of CPI(M). The current editor is Sitaram Yechury. It is operated from A.K. Gopalan Bhawan, New Delhi and is published from Progressive Printers, New Delhi. It is the second largest Marxist/Communist newspaper read in the Hindi Belt, the first is People's Democracy, which also happens to be the English language counterpart of Loklahar.
