Mary Frances Clardy

Mary Frances Clardy (born November 11, 1958)[1] is an American educator and politician serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represents district 53A in the southeastern Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Early life and education

Clardy was born and raised in Minneapolis. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a Master of Education from Grand Canyon University.[2]

Career

Clardy began her career as a program manager at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. Since 1996, she has worked as a teacher and literacy coordinator in the Saint Paul Public Schools. Clardy was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in November 2022.[3] She serves as vice chair of the House Education Finance Committee.[4]
