Melaka Football Club or simply known as the Melaka FC [1] is a Malaysian football club based in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia. The team plays in the third-tier of Malaysian football, the Malaysia M3 League.[2] The club's home ground is the 1,000 seat capacity Hang Tuah Stadium in Malacca City.

Not to be confused with Melaka United.

History

Melaka Football Club is a club founded in November 2022 in Malacca City, Malacca and is currently participating in the third-tier division in Malaysian football, the 2023 Malaysia M3 League.

Following the dissolution of Melaka United F.C. due to financial constraint and huge debt which caused them failing to pay their players and coaches wages, Melaka FC was founded as a continuation or rebirth of the previous club, though the club will not inherit the honours and titles won by Melaka United.

Melaka FC fills the slot left by Melaka United when the club ejected from the 2022 Malaysia Super League.[3]
