Sri Murmati

Richielde de Mathilde Callebaut (October 13, 1923 – June 29, 2017), better known under the stage name Sri Murmati, was a Dutch-Indonesian actress who was active in the 1950s.[1] Famously known as an older sister of Mimi Mariani, she was the third wife of director Henry L. Duarte.[1]

Life and career

Sri Murmati was born Richielde de Mathilde Callebaut on October 13, 1923, in Malang, Dutch East Indies.[1] She was of Belgian, Dutch, and Manado descent.[1]

Her brothers were Emile Callebaut (born June 15, 1930), an Indonesia-based film editor, who was the father of Indonesian actress Doris Callebaut, and Frans Callebaut.[1] While her sisters were Livine Callebaut, Clara Callebaut, Onie Callebaut, Betsy Callebaut, Lena Callebaut, Troely Callebaut (June 8, 1928 – May 1, 1971), Meity Callebaut, and Greta Callebaut.[1]

Death

Murmati died at her residence in Netherlands, on June 29, 2017, at the age of 93.[2] Her death was announced by his son.[2]
