Tontawan Tantivejakul

Tontawan Tantivejakul (Thai: ต้นตะวัน ต้นติเวชกุล; born 7 November 2000) also known as Tu Tontawan is a Thai model and actress under GMMTV.[1] She began her career when she appeared in Ink Waruntorn Paonil's music video, "Disappointed" (เหนื่อยใจ) with Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul in 2020, she then signed an exclusive contract with GMMTV months after.[2][3] She gained popularity when she played Gorya, one of the lead roles in the Thai adaptation of Boys Over Flowers, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers back in 2021.[4] This series served as her acting debut, and she played alongside Thai actor Vachirawit Chivaree.[5]

Early life and education

Tonatwan was born in the city of Bangkok in Thailand on November 7, 2000.[1] She is the younger sister of the Thai actor and musician, Tonhon Tantivejakul.[6] Her mother is a communication arts professor at Chulalongkorn University, while her father works in advertising.[2]

She attended Srinakharinwirot University Prasarnmit Demonstration School for elementary and received her entire secondary education from Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School. Currently, she is studying dentistry at Chulalongkorn University.[7]

Career

At the age of nineteen, Tu appeared in Ink Waruntorn Paonil's music video for her song "Disappointed" (เหนื่อยใจ) with Billkin Putthipong Assaratanakul back in 2020.[2][3] Later that year, she signed an exclusive contract with GMMTV. In September of the same year, it was announced through a teaser clip that she was chosen to star in the Thai adaptation of Boys Over Flowers, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers as the female lead, Gorya.[4] She made her acting debut alongside Vachirawit Chivaaree, with Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, Jirawat Sutivanichsak, and Hirunkit Changkham. The series began airing in late 2021.[8][9] In September 2022, she played the role of Maki in one Zero in the Moonlight episode of the short anotology series Magic of Zero alongside Jirawat Sutivanichsak who played as her interest.[10][11]

During the GMMTV 2022: BORDERLESS event in the last part of 2021, it was announced that Tu will play the role of Kongkwan in "10 Years Ticket" a romance-drama series produced by GMMTV alongside Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee. The Series started airing on December 14, 2022.[12]
