Verdugo Recreation Center

The Verdugo Recreation Center is a recreational area in Burbank, California in the United States.[1][2][3] It features a playground for children, a swimming pool with two water slides, a gymnasium, afterschool activities for children, a tennis court and restrooms.[4] Its swimming pool has been described in local media as "olympic sized". Its recreational building was built in 1948 and in 2014 a $140,000 roof replacement project took place.[5] From 2008-2013, the aquatic facilities were closed for renovation. It was scheduled to reopen in 2011, but was delayed several times. When it reopened in 2013 it featured new locker rooms, bathrooms, lifeguard rooms and first aid rooms, which received positive reception from locals.[6]
