Yaara Vey

Yaara Vey (Urdu: یارا وے transl. Oh Friend!) is a 2022 Pakistani romantic drama film[1] directed by Manish Pawar and produced by Beeline Productions. It features Sami Khan, Aleeze Nasser and Faizan Khawaja in as leading role and supporting cast includes as Jawed Sheikh, Marina Khan, Ali Sikandar and others. The film was released on 2 December 2022.[2][3][4]

Plot

The film story is about two perfectionists, Sania (Aleeze Nasser) and Armaan (Faizan Khawaja) working together in an architecture firm. Armaan has special feelings for Sania but she never reciprocates him. Their office is planning to make a new resort in Thailand. For that Sania and Armaan are sent on a mission to do the recce of the land.

In Thailand, Sania meets Samir (Sami Khan), who has a history of failed love life. Samir's dream is to open a restaurant and Sania is the main hurdle in his way. The two keep meeting in several clichéd situations and just when Sania leaves Thailand Samir realizes that he loves her. Sania also meets a strange man, Kabir (Jawed Sheikh) in Thailand and this meeting takes the plot further.

Critical response

A critic from Whattanews wrote that "The film has been written and directed is very amateurish way.[6] A critic wrote that "Yaara Vey is a film that promises to bring something new to the mix, abandoning the trend of relying on comedy to make a film work.[7]

Filming

The film has been produced by Beeline Productions in Dubai and shot in Thailand. Faizan Khawaja discussed the traveling component of the film and said it was refreshing for the actors. The films visuals are quite exciting too, he said. "Shooting Yaara Vey was overall a very amazing experience because of the fact we shot in so many different locations, we went to so many different countries. We first shot most of the film in Dubai and then we shot portions in Thailand." he said, The team also headed to Georgia, where they shot a song sequence.[8]
