De La Soul

De La Soul adalah kelompok musik hip hop dari Long Island, New York. Mereka dikenal sebagai salah satu pelopor jazz rap. Anggotanya adalah Kelvin Mercer (Posdnuos, Mercenary, Plug Wonder Why, Plug One), David Jude Jolicoeur (Trugoy the Dove, Dave, Plug Two), dan Vincent Mason (P.A. Pasemaster Mase, Maseo, Plug Three). Ketiganya membentuk kelompok ini di sekolah menengah dan menarik perhatian produser rekaman Paul Huston (Prince Paul) dengan lagu demo berjudul "Plug Tunin'".
