Folikel ovarium
Folikel ovarium atau folikel indung telur adalah sekumpulan seluler berbentuk bulat yang ditemukan di indung telur. Ini mengeluarkan hormon yang mempengaruhi tahap-tahap siklus menstrual. Wanita yang mulai pubertas memiliki sekitar 400.000 folikel,[1] masing-masing berpotensi melepaskan sebuah sel telur (ovum) saat ovulasi untuk pembuahan.[2] Telur-telur tersebut berkembang setiap siklus menstrual.
