Gempa mikro

Gempa mikro adalah gempa bumi yang memiliki nilai magnitudo kecil (kurang dari 2 SR). Gempa bumi ini hanya dapat dirasakan oleh orang-orang yang berada dalam radius 8 kilometer.[1] Gempa mikro sering terjadi pada reservoir geotermal yang dipicu oleh terbentuknya rekahan pada batuan reservoir ketika dilakukan injeksi fluida. Sehingga gempa mikro dapat digolongkan sebagai induced earthquakes.
