Gregorio Leti

Gregorio Leti (1630–1701) merupakan seorang sejarawan dan tukang satir Italia dari Milan, yang terkadang menerbitkan karya-karyanya dengan pseudonim Abbe Gualdi, L'abbé Gualdi,[1] atau Gualdus[2] yang dikenal karena karya-karyanya mengenai Gereja Katolik, khususnya kepausan. Seluruh terbitannya terdaftar pada Index Librorum Prohibitorum.[3]

Sebagai keponakan dari uskup Acquapendente di Umbria, Leti dididik di sekolah Yesuit, namun kemudian menjadi Protestan.[4]

Ia wafat di Amsterdam pada 1701.[5] Leti merupakan mertua dari sarjana dan teolog Jean Leclerc.[6]
