Ieng Thirith

Ieng Thirith (née Khieu;[1] Bahasa Khmer: អៀង ធីរិទ្ធ;[2] 10 Maret 1932 – 22 Agustus 2015 )[3] adalah seorang figur berpengaruh dalam Khmer Merah. Ieng Thirith adalah istri Ieng Sary, yang merupakan Menteri Luar Negeri rezim Khmer Merah Kamboja Demokratik.

Ia adalah saudari dari Khieu Ponnary (wafat pada 2003), yang merupakan istri pertama dari Pol Pot. Thirith adalah Menteri Sosial dari Oktober 1975 sampai jatuhnya Khmer Merah pada tahun 1979.[4][5]

Dia meninggal pada 22 Agustus 2015 di usia 83 akibat komplikasi penyakit.[6]
