Maathorneferure adalah putri raja Het, Hattusili III dan istrinya, Ratu Puduḫepa. Ia adalah saudari putra mahkota Nerikkaili dari Hatti dan saudari raja Het kemudian, Tudḫaliya IV.
Maathorneferure menikah dengan Firaun Ramses II Mesir pada tahun ke-34 masa pemerintahannya, menjadi Istri Agung Raja. Nama aslinya tidak diketahui, tetapi nama Mesirnya diterjemahkan sebagai "Yang melihat Horus, kemuliaan Ra yang tak terlihat".
