Briggs memulai karier profesionalnya di klub Fulham, setelah saat junior bermain untuk klub yang sama. Selama di Fulham sempat dipinjamkan ke Leyton Orient,[2] Peterborough United[3] dan Bristol City untuk memperoleh pengalaman pertandingan.[4]
