Negara semi-pinggiran
Dalam teori sistem dunia, negara semi-pinggiran (terkadang hanya disebut sebagai semi-pinggiran) adalah negara yang terindustrialisasi dan kebanyakan bersistem kapitalis yang berada di posisi antara negara pinggiran dan negara inti. Negara semi-pinggiran memiliki karakteristik organisasional dari negara inti sekaligus negara pinggiran dan biasanya secara geografis berada di antara wilayah inti dan pinggiran serta antara dua wilayah inti yang bersaing atau lebih.[1] Wilayah semi-pinggiran memainkan peran besar dalam memperantarai kegiatan ekonomi, politik dan sosial yang menghubungkan wilayah inti dan pinggiran.[1]
