Pulau Malden

Pulau Malden, terkadang disebut Independence Island pada abad kesembilan belas, adalah sebuah atoll rendah, kering dan tak berpenduduk di tengah Samudera Pasifik, yang memiliki luas sekitar 39 km² (15 sq mi). Pulau tersebut adalah salah satu pulau dari Kepulauan Line yang masuk Republik Kiribati. Laguna tersebut sepenuhnya ditutupi oleh daratan, namun terhubung ke laut oleh saluran-saluran bawah tanah, dan sangat asin.
