Ross Ihaka

George Ross Ihaka (lahir 1954/1955)[1] adalah dosen pembantu statistika di Universitas Auckland. Ia dan Robert Gentleman diakui sebagai perintis bahasa pemrograman R.[2][3]

Ihaka lahir di Waiuku di Region Auckland, Selandia Baru.[1] Ia mendapat gelar doktoralnya pada tahun 1985 dari Universitas California, Berkeley, di bawah bimbingan David R. Brillinger.[4] He received the Royal Society of New Zealand's Pickering Medal in 2008 for his work on R.[5] Per 2010, ia sedang menyelesaikan bahasa pemrograman statistik baru yang didasarkan pada Lisp.[6][7]
