Abertura Ware
O termo abertura irregular agrupa as aberturas de xadrez caracterizadas pelo primeiro movimento das peças brancas extremamente incomum, que é diferente daqueles estatisticamente mais utilizados.[2]
História
Esta abertura pertence ao volume A da ECO, que mantêm o registro das principais aberturas irregulares, sob o código A00. O nome é uma homenagem ao enxadrista estadunidense Preston Ware (1821-1890) que as vezes utilizava aberturas não ortodoxas em suas partidas.[3]
