Anton Drexler

Anton Drexler (Munique, 13 de junho de 1884 — Munique, 24 de Fevereiro de 1942) foi um líder político alemão da década de 1920, que foi fundamental na formação do Partido dos Trabalhadores Alemães (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei - DAP), o antecedente do Partido Nazista (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei - NSDAP), de orientação de extrema-direita,[1][2][3][4][5] pan-germânico e antissemita.[6] Drexler serviu como mentor para Adolf Hitler durante seus primeiros dias na política e foi ele quem aceitou no partido nazista depois de ter sido rejeitado a sua filiação no Partido Socialista Alemão.[7] Hitler foi aceito como membro do partido em 12 de setembro de 1919.[8][9] Em menos de uma semana, Hitler recebeu um cartão postal de Drexler afirmando que ele tinha sido oficialmente aceito como membro DAP e que ele deveria participar de reunião para discutir o assunto. Hitler participou da reunião, realizada na cervejaria Alte Rosenbad.[10]
