Chūgoku (japanisch: 中国地方, Chūgoku-chihō, „Region Land der Mitte“) ist eine Region in Honshū, Japan.

Hintergrund
Die Region wird durchzogen vom Chūgoku-Gebirge. Das Gebiet nördlich davon wird auch San'in genannt, es grenzt an das Japanische Meer. Auf der Südseite grenzt das San'yo genannte Gebiet an die Seto-Inlandssee.
