Adjetivos numerales
- A excepción de primero, segundo y tercero, el resto sigue una regla prácticamente fija; se añade th.
- Cuando se trata de un número compuesto, th se añade al último componente.
- En cuanto a las abreviaturas, se indican mediante la cifra seguida de las dos últimas letras del adjetivo numeral correspondiente.

- Cuando se trata de un número compuesto de centenas, decenas y unidades, entre el ciento y la unidad o decena intercalará usted la partícula and. Así:
- One hundred and five - 105
- Nine hundred and ninety-nine - 999
- Al pasar a los millares utilizará thousand (millar), siguiendo la misma regla que para las centenas.
- En ciertos contextos (al citar un año comprendido entre el mil y el dos mil, o al hablar de cantidades de dinero) no suele hacerse como entre nosotros, sino citándolo de una forma peculiar. Así, 1953 se expresa Nineteen hundred and fifty-three (diez y nueve cientos, cincuenta y tres), y 1500$ son fifteen hundred dollars.
- En lenguaje familiar, uno se ahorra las centenas y dice, simplemente, Nineteen fifty-three. O sea, diez y nueve, cincuenta y tres.
- En inglés, billion, trillion y sucesivos no representan la misma cantidad que el billón, trillón, ... en español:
- 1,000,000,000 son mil millones en español, y one billion en inglés.
- 1,000,000,000,000 es un billón en español, pero one trillion en inglés.
