Geboren in Harlesden, Brent,[1] wuchs Anunoby vor allem in Jefferson City, Missouri auf, wo sein aus Nigeria stammender Vater an der Lincoln University lehrt.[2] Von 2015 bis 2017 war er für die Indiana Hoosiers in der NCAA aktiv.
2019 gewann Anunoby mit den Toronto Raptors die NBA Finals.
