2023 V.League 2

The 2023 V.League 2, known as the Gold Star V.League 2 (Vietnamese: Giải bóng đá Hạng Nhất Quốc gia Bia Sao Vàng 2023) for sponsorship reasons, will be the 29th season of V. League 2, Vietnam's second tier professional football league. The season is scheduled to commence on 7 April 2023.[1]

The league will return to the split season format where in the latter half the top six teams will play each other in the championship group, while the remaining six teams will face each other in the relegation group.[1]

Withdrawn clubs

On February 14th 2023, both Saigon FC and Can Tho FC all announced not to attend 2023 V.League 2 due to financial reasons. Saigon have sold their spot in the league to another team from an undisclosed locality before subsequently dissolving, while Can Tho will play in the Vietnamese Football League Third Division from the 2023–24 season.[2]

Prize money

The prize money for the winner gonna get increased from 1 billion VND (42643 USD) to 2 billion VND (85286 USD)
