2023 WTA Tour
The 2023 WTA Tour (branded as the 2023 Hologic WTA Tour for sponsorship reasons) is the global elite women's professional tennis circuit organized by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for the 2023 tennis season. The 2023 WTA Tour calendar comprises the Grand Slam tournaments (supervised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF)), the WTA 1000 tournaments, the WTA 500 tournaments, the WTA 250 tournaments, the Billie Jean King Cup (organized by the ITF), and the year-end championships (the WTA Finals and the WTA Elite Trophy).

2023 appeared to mark the return of the WTA tournaments in China, after strict COVID-19 protocols in the country and the disappearance of former tennis player Peng Shuai.[1] However, the WTA clarified in January 2023 that "a return to the region will require a resolution to the Peng situation", stating that post-US Open tournaments scheduled to be held in China are merely provisional.[2]

Sania Mirza (born 15 November 1986 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) she announced her retirement on 7 January after the Dubai Tennis Championships in February.[15][16].svg.png.webp)
Samantha Stosur (born 30 March 1984 in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia) announced on 14 January on her Instagram that the 2023 Australian Open will be the last tournament of her career.[17][18]
