Channasandra
Channasandra is a village located in kadugodi nagondahalli, tirumala Shetti Halli neighborhood at the eastern periphery of Bangalore city.[1] it lies between Bangalore urban and bangalore rural a lake which flows Nandi hills (Dakshinapenakini)separate this from rural, it has a huge population many of them are migration,And it is part of Mahadevapura (Vidhan Sabha constituency). The most of the people here are the disciples of lord shiva and basava (establisher of anubhava mantapa )as well as kempegowda(the founder and the creater of bangalore) the 1st highest population of this area belongs to veerashaiva lingath ,2nd is vokaliga(Gowda),3rd is by ksthariya .

This village got the name by the followers basava and kittur rani chennamma, During the first independence war 1857, British in Whitefield were controlling channasandra as colonial corner later in after 1886 the officers of kolar gold mine used to stay and travel from Whitefield.
Chennamma fought valiantly against the colonial rulers more than three decades before the First War of Independence in 1857, her contribution for upholding the self-esteem of the local people was not known to the present generation.
