History
Haidarnagar had been a rajput dominated region since 1770. The mahthan rajputs arrived and captured the town in 1770s.The nawab made a treaty with the rajput chief Babu shiv dayal singh for Peace. According to treaty,out of 70 villages 24 were granted to babu saaheb shiv dayal singh.After the arrival of rajputs,nawabs lost honour and value among locals.The rajputs were very great on the accounts of settlement of other castes.Babu Tapeswari singh went to study law from a college in bihar.His son Biseswar dayal singh was most respected zamindar of this region. He was active in politics and freedom struggle.He donated several acres lands during bhoodan gramdan movement of vinoba bhave.Japla have a great concentration of rajputs but mahthans are considered superior of all.The rajputs in this region still have a clout and dominate the politics. Bijendra Pratap Singh is the present landlord of Babhandih. He is married and have Four issues. His elder son Subhodh Singh is the next heir of the landlordship.[1] [2] [3]
Languages
Languages spoken here include Asuri, an Austroasiatic language spoken by approximately 17 000 in India, largely in the southern part of Palamu;[4] and Bhojpuri, a tongue in the Bihari language group with almost 40 000 000 speakers, written in both the Devanagari and Kaithi scripts.[5]
Facilities
Palamu Jharkhand To be built with an estimated cost of Rs 120 crore, Jharkhand longest Garhwa bridge is to come up at Koyal river.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on July 3, 2015 laid the foundation stone of the longest Garhwa bridge at Koyal river at an estimated cost of Rs 120 crore. This project is being considered as one of the showcase project of Raghubar Das government. This bridge will connect Sundipur and Pansa.
The bridge will improve the connectivity in the state. After the completion of the bridge, people will be able to visit Garhwa easily and in less time. The Chief Minister is said to be taking special interest in this bridge which will improve the road connectivity of this district with other districts of the state.
