Hofele-Design

HOFELE-Design GmbH, founded 1983 in Donzdorf (Göppingen district), Germany, is a specialist German tuning company for Mercedes-Benz.[1] HOFELE-Design is recognised by SAE International as a vehicle manufacturer and has been awarded a Worldwide Manufacturers Identification (WMI) code by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA).[2]

History

In 1983, Martin Hofele opened the company Hofele-Design in his father's double garage. Michael Hofele worked as a management consultant for various German automotive groups in the marketing department until 1987 and joined the company that year. In 2000, Hofele-Design GmbH moved into a new factory building in Donzdorf with larger production areas. From 2006, Hofele-Design was represented as a brand with its own partners in China. Since 2018, Hofele-Design has been an official contractual partner of Daimler AG in the area of converted vehicles under the Hofele brand, based on Mercedes-Benz models.

The company founders left the company in 2021, and Stuart Whitmore is the managing director. In 2022, the company moved to Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, Germany – right next door to the Mercedes-Benz factory.

Operations

HOFELE-Design through is tuning contract with Daimler AG supply and modify the complete range of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars to Europe, China, Middle East, Russia, and other export markets.

In 2010, European Motor Magazine Publisher has given HOFELE-Design a “Sport Auto” Award with the “SR8” – Concept, based on Audi A8. In the same year, Chamber of Commerce awarded HOFELE-Design to mark its 25 years of Export excellence to the World.
