Jake Banta
Jacob Daniel Banta[2] (born c. 1965) is an American politician who currently represents the 4th District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives since 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Early life and career
Banta was born in Waterford, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1983. After graduating, Banta enlisted in the United States Navy SEALs, from which he was honorably discharged. Following the 9/11 attacks, Banta worked as a security contractor with the U.S. Department of Defense in the Middle East.[3]
Political career
In 2022, Banta won the 4th District seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, defeating Democrat Chelsea Oliver.[1]
Political positions
Banta has shared several false claims on social media, including that the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen, COVID-19 was created by "globalists" to depopulate the world, and the January 6 Capitol attack was a false flag.[1]
Personal life
Banta is married to Shelly,[4] and lives in LeBoeuf Township, Pennsylvania.[1] He has three children and two grandchildren.[3]
