Keshab Chandra Basu
Keshab Chandra Basu (1905-1986) was a lawyer and senior partner of the law firm P. C. Ghose & Co. and an Indian politician. He was the Speaker of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.[1] He was Member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from the Sukeas Street Assembly constituency in 1962 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. Basu was mayor of Kolkata from 8 July 1960 to 28 April 1961.[2]

His son Kaushik Basu is Professor of Economics, Cornell University, and former Chief Economist of the World Bank.[3][4][5]
