History
Pleasant Ridge was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.
Geography
It is in the southeastern part of Daviess County and the northwestern part of Ohio County, 14 miles (23 km) southeast of Owensboro and 11 miles (18 km) northwest of Hartford. U.S. Route 231 passes through the community, connecting the two cities.
