Prema Simhasanam

Prema Simhasanam (transl.Throne of love) is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language action drama film, produced by K. Vidya Sagar under the Tirupathi International banner [2] and directed by Beeram Mastan Rao.[3] The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Rati Agnihotri[4] and music is composed by Chakravarthy.[5] The film was a flop at the box office.

Plot

The film begins with Zamindar Anand Varma sighting a public auction of an innocent woman, Rajeswari. So, Anand knits her which is opposed by his vainglory mother Anasuya Devi instigated by her sly manager Kamaraju. Hence, Anand & Rajeswari quits and resides in the village. After a while, Rajeswari conceives when she pots a woman and attempts suicide. Whereat, she detects her as Lakshmi Anand's maternal uncle's daughter who endears him from childhood and is about to kill herself by cognizant of the status quo. Hearing it, Rajeswari vows and by convincing Anand, she espouses him with Lakshmi. Later, she passes away giving birth to a baby boy whom Lakshmi dotes as her own and consoles Anand. Eventually, Lakshmi also gives birth to a baby boy. Manager Kamaraju exploits the situation by provoking Anusuya Devi to do away with Rajeswari's son. Kamaraju ploys to kill the baby when Anand dies in that attack. Anyhow, the child is protected by Anand's true-blue Simhachalam who raises him. Years roll by, and Raja a popular pop singer crushes on Prema. Lakshmi's son Kalyan is a debauchery, due to the machinations of Kamaraju and his son Ramanandam. Lakshmi tries to reform Kalyan by keeping him away from Kamaraju. So, Kamaraju & Ramanandham scheme to kill her when Raja rescues her and she recognizes him. Now, Raja decides to save his family from ruin. At last, Raja ceases baddies and reforms his brother. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Raja & Prema.
