Archaeocalamitaceae adalah genus tumbuhan yang terkait dengan Calamitaceae dan paku ekor kuda modern yang diusulkan. Secara harfiah nama tumbuhan ini berarti tumbuhan pendahulu Calamitaceae.[1]
