FA WSL 2016

FA WSL musim 2017–2018 adalah musim ke-6 dari FA WSL sejak dibentuk pada tahun 2010. Jumlah tim di WSL 1 diperbanyak menjadi sembilan tim. Liga Primer Wanita FA untuk pertama kalinya terintegrasi dengan WSL 2 dengan mempromosikan satu tim. Musim ini dimulai pada 23 Maret dan Chelsea adalah juara bertahan pada musim sebelumnya.

  • Pertandingan antara Millwall Lionesses dan Oxford United ditunda akibat stadion Millwall, The Den, digunakan oleh tim pria. Manajemen FA WSL kemudian memberikan kemenangan kepada Oxford.[7]

Piala WSL

Format Piala FA WSL diubah menjadi benar-benar format sistem gugur.[8] 19 tim berpartisipasi dengan enam tim bermain di babak penyisihan. Pada babak 16 besar diundi supaya tim WSL 1 dapat bertemu dengan tim WSL 2.[9]
