Pertempuran Selat Sunda adalah pertempuran laut yang terjadi selama Perang Dunia II. Pada malam tanggal 28 Februari-1 Maret 1942, USS Houston Amerika Serikat dan HMAS Perth Australia menghadapi pasukan utama Angkatan Laut Kekaisaran Jepang. Setelah pertempuran sengit, kedua kapal sekutu tenggelam dan dua kapal Jepang tenggelam.

Akhir Februari 1942, Angkatan Laut Kekaisaran Jepang bersiap untuk melakukan invasi ke Pulau Jawa, Hindia Belanda. Pada tanggal 27 Februari, angkatan laut gabungan American-British-Dutch-Australian Command (ABDACOM), di bawah pimpinan Admiral Karel Doorman, berlayar dari Surabaya untuk menghadang kekuatan invasi Jepang.
