A fei莽茫o foi mapeada e nomeada em 1821 por Robert Fildes e recebeu o nome dos Rochedos Eddystone pr贸ximos de Plymouth, Inglaterra.

Os rochedos est茫o centrados em 馃實 que est谩 3,54 km (2,2 mi) a oeste-sudoeste de Os Apontadores e 4,73 km (2,94 mi) a oeste-noroeste de Cabo Sheffield, Ilha Rugosa (mapeamento brit芒nico em 1821, 1822, 1933 e 1968, franc锚s em 1937, argentino em 1946, 1957 e 1980, chileno em 1971, e b煤lgaro em 2009).
