Super Singer 9

Super Singer 9 (சூப்பர் சிங்கர் 9) is an 2022 Indian Tamil-language reality television singing competition show, the nine season of the Super Singer show, which airs on Star Vijay[1][2] anIST) starting from 19 November 2022.[3][4][5] MRF Vapocure Paints is sponsor the this season.

The show was hosted by Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande once again. The Judges of the show were the popular playback singers Anuradha Sriram, P. Unnikrishnan, Shweta Mohan and Benny Dayal.[6][7][8]

Format

The show begins with a mega musical battle with auditioned top 20 contestants of this season.[9] Each contestant is ranked as per her and his performance and the top scorer will be given a seat in the Super Five zone.[10] Position in the super Five zone keeps changing based on their performance week on week. Similarly super Five zone will become super Three zone once the number of contestants reduce. Hence this season with unique and challenging rounds will be a treat to the musical fans.

Anuradha Sriram Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. She has sung more than 700 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Sinhala, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Hindi films.
Shweta Mohan Indian playback singer. She has recorded more than 700 songs and albums in all the four south Indian languages namely Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, she has also recorded songs for Hindi films and has established herself as a leading playback singer of South Indian cinema.
P. Unnikrishnan Indian Carnatic vocalist and playback singer.[12]
