Al-Birwa
Al-Birwa (bahasa Arab: البروه, al-Birweh) adalah sebuah desa Arab Palestina yang terletak 10,5 km timur Acre atau Akka.[1] Disebutkan oleh ahli geografi Arab pada abad ke-11, desa ini dikenal oleh tentara perang salib sebagai Broet. Kota diduduki dari Mamluk oleh Ottoman pada abad ke-16, al-Birwa tumbuh menjadi desa yang luas pada abad ke-19, dengan sebuah masjid, sebuah gereja, dan sebuah sekolah dasar untuk laki-laki. Sebuah sekolah khusus wanita didirikan selama Mandat Britania memerintah di Palestina.
